About the role:
We are seeking an experienced Payments Project Manager to join a high-performing team responsible for building and supporting big data platforms and system integration solutions. You’ll play a key role in end-to-end program delivery, stakeholder management, and ensuring alignment between business objectives and Agile development teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead complex end-to-end program delivery, managing multiple project streams and securing successful production releases.
  • Manage integrated project plans, budgets, schedules, and staffing requirements, including internal staff, client employees, and third-party vendors.
  • Oversee project performance, ensuring scope, cost, schedule, and contractual deliverables are met.
  • Act as a bridge between key client business stakeholders and Agile development teams.
  • Ensure value delivery by Agile teams aligns with the client’s overall service strategy.
  • Understand and manage the product’s business and technology stakeholders, balancing quality, benefits, risk, budget, time to market, and user experience.
  • Translate requirements into epics, features, and stories, and maintain non-functional requirements (NFRs) to ensure system quality.
  • Support the team and work closely with the Scrum Master to remove impediments and lead by example.
  • Mentor junior consultants and contribute to practice development.
Required Experience:

  • Minimum 10+ years’ experience as a project manager, iteration manager, or scrum master in IT consulting or technology business units.
  • At least 3+ years’ project management experience in data initiatives (modernisation, migration, governance, reporting, analytics, data science).
  • Practical experience with project delivery frameworks such as Scaled Agile, Distributed Agile, Agile Sprints, Kanban, and Waterfall.
  • Skills in project planning, budgeting, performance management, scheduling, staffing, scope management, contractual deliverables, change control, and risk management.
  • Solid understanding of data professional roles and responsibilities.
  • Experience delivering projects on cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP, IBM) and modern data platforms.
  • Understanding of containerisation, virtualisation, infrastructure, networking, and software development life cycle.
  • Experience presenting to and influencing stakeholders and senior managers.
  • Experience in banking is required.
  • Team leadership and people management experience.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related engineering field.
  • One or more industry-recognised technology or project delivery certifications.
Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with business-critical design, high availability, fault-tolerance, automatic fail-over, and geographical redundancy.
  • Experience mentoring and developing junior consultants.
