About our client:

Established in response to a series of devastating natural disasters, this government agency is Australia’s only permanent body dedicated to disaster recovery and reconstruction. It leads statewide efforts in rebuilding infrastructure, coordinating recovery programs, and enhancing community resilience.



About the role:

This role will transition essential systems to scalable and secure cloud environments and work alongside key stakeholders, ensuring technology investments are aligned and critical business services are not disrupted.

 

Key Skills:

 

  • Facilitate Agile delivery by coordinating sprint planning, development, and testing activities to achieve the objectives of migrating MARS from on-premises Dynamics 365 to a cloud-based Dynamics 365 environment.
  • Lead the development and maintenance of detailed project plans, including milestones, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Monitor and report on project progress and proactively manage risks, issues and dependencies.
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, demos).
  • Manage sprint backlogs, estimate work and support team priorities
  • Provide regular updates to stakeholders at all levels on the status of applications solution development, including the identification of challenges and risks and resolution options and advice.
  • Assist in defining the short, medium, and long-term strategy for the organisation’s applications portfolio, ensuring alignment with business goals, technology trends, and the cloud-first approach.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of all required documentation, including design documents, quality plans, processes and procedures.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams including internal developers, testers, analysts, infrastructure and procure specialist requirements. Collaborate with stakeholders to demonstrate project progress and showcase key developments throughout the MARS uplift project.
  • Develop and maintain collaborative and productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Work within tight timeframes and in a high-pressure environment and maintain delivery momentum in a fast paced, multi-stakeholder environment.
  • Undertake other duties of equivalent complexity as required.
 

 

The successful candidate:

 

  • Skilled coordination at a Project Management level
  • Strong proven experience of SCRUM/Agile methodologies.
  • Experience working on projects which utilise Microsoft Dynamics 365
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to address complex issues and challenges
  • Experience with testing methodologies on Dynamics 365 based solutions
  • Experience with Jira and release management.
  • Experience in developing with API driven architecture.
  • Working high level understanding of enterprise systems architecture (including integration with APIs, webservices, and other software), in relation to software enhancement design.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, and interpersonal skills including report writing and presentation skills. Able to communicate at all levels within the organisation.
  • Experience in a cross functional team and taking on other roles including but not limited to backlog management, release planning, documentation, training and training material.
  • SQL skills, specifically creating queries to extract data for the purpose of testing and reporting.
Desirable requirements:

 

  • Experience with Azure based technologies including but not limited to Cloud hosted Dynamics 365, AppRegistrations, Application Insights and Logic Apps.
  • Understanding of processes required to migrate applications from on-premises infrastructure to cloud environments.
  • Knowledge of ESRI ArcGIS products, in the context of integration and support of spatial applications.
  • Knowledge of automated build and deployment processes.
  • Knowledge of automated testing processes.
