Our client is a major Government Department delivering complex projects and technical work packages within a PRINCE2 environment, supporting Business Solution Delivery (BSD) and Information Technology Branch (ITB) governance. This role is pivotal in ensuring successful project outcomes and benefits realisation.
About the role:
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to deliver projects or technical work packages from start-up through to closing, adhering to PRINCE2, Agile, and MSP governance frameworks. You’ll play a key role in planning, coordinating, and managing resources, budgets, and schedules to achieve agreed scope, quality, and benefits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and coordinate project activities and resources to deliver outcomes within agreed budget and timeframes.
- Produce project documentation in line with TMR policies and procedures, within Agile, PRINCE2, and MSP governance frameworks.
- Ensure appropriate project governance and assurance activities are in place.
- Develop and implement communication, organisational change management, and benefit realisation plans.
- Liaise closely with stakeholders including Project Executives, Project Board Members, Senior Users and Suppliers, Senior Management, and other Project Managers within ITB.
- Manage risks, issues, conflicts, change requests, priorities, project budget and finances, and resource allocations.
- Develop and maintain project schedules.
- Provide direction and support for the project team.
- Deliver timely and accurate progress reporting to stakeholders.
- Ensure project administration complies with internal governance and compliance practices.
- Achieve delivery of projects/work packages to agreed scope, schedule, quality, and budget baselines.
- Maintain quarterly Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) if applicable.
- Perform other duties as required.
- Recent experience delivering multiple application/COTS (Commercial Off-The-Shelf) projects in a complex Agile environment.
- Experience in software development projects.
- Current and varied experience across public and private sectors is highly desirable.
- PRINCE2 Practitioner Qualification.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Project.
This is a 6-Month initial contract role with a January 2026 start available. You’ll play a key role in delivering robust, compliant, and high-impact projects in a dynamic enterprise environment.
