The Project Manager (EL1) – AV/VC Delivery & AV/VC Catalogue Development is responsible for leading the successful delivery of the Audio Visual and Video Conferencing (AV/VC) component of the Departments capital works project.
The role will assist the project team in procurement, tender processes, design finalisation, construction and installation oversight, commissioning, testing and handover to ensure high-quality, secure and fit-for-purpose collaboration technology is deployed within the new workplace environment.
Primary Duties:
- Working with the project team to Assist in the management of the end-to-end delivery of the AV/VC scope for the project, ensuring design, procurement, construction and commissioning activities meet schedule, budget, safety and quality requirements.
- Lead the development of the AV/VC Room Catalogue, establishing standardised room types, validated Bills of Materials, deployment guidance and support frameworks. Use lessons learned from other agency projects as proof-of-concept, ensuring catalogue content reflects real operational requirements, security considerations and technology performance.
Skills and Experience Required:
1.Proven experience in managing ICT-enabled or AV/VC delivery projects within a construction, fit-out or enterprise/government environment, including oversight of installation, commissioning and handover.
2.Demonstrated ability to coordinate multidisciplinary stakeholders.
3.Demonstrated ability to prepare and maintain project documentation
4.Ability to interpret and review technical documentation
5.High-level written and verbal communication skills
6.AVIXA CTS certification (current or previously held)
Location and Contract Term: This role is based in Canberra. 18 month contract with 1x12-month extension options pending budget and delegate approval.
Security Requirements: Applicants must be Australian Citizens and hold a NV1 security clearance
