About the role:
This role leads the delivery of two strategic initiatives: Modernise Reporting & Analytics (MRA) and the International Student Admissions (ISA). The Project Manager owns end‑to‑end delivery management:
- Defining objectives, scope, and roles
- Building and maintaining an integrated plan and schedule
- Producing governance artefacts aligned to project lifecycle (e.g., business cases, approval submissions, status reports, risk/issue registers, and IT assessments)
- Manage internal resources and vendor engagements
- Oversee budgeting/forecasting and cost tracking, and drive delivery to scope, time, and budget
The Project Manager will report to the Manager, Digital Portfolio & Associate Directors.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Extensive Project Management experience with a proven track record leading and managing IT projects to successful completion.
- Proven ability to deliver projects on scope, schedule, and budget, with strong financial management skills including cost tracking and forecasting.
- Experience delivering Power BI and Business Intelligence solutions, including dashboard development, data modelling, and actionable insights for decision-making.
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, leveraging agile and iterative delivery methodologies to ensure flexibility and responsiveness to changing requirements.
- Strong governance and documentation skills, with experience producing project artifacts (e.g., PID, RAID logs, stage plans) ideally within a PRINCE2 framework or similar structured methodology.
- Highly developed stakeholder management skills, with experience engaging executive leadership and operational teams, including mixes of full-time and contractor-based resources.
- Exposure to complex technological environments with multiple integration points, customisations, and technological dependencies.
- Experience working with large and multifaceted corporate systems and overseeing cross-skilled teams with a mix of business and technical members.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present at approval boards and steering committees.
- Highly organised, with proven ability to balance competing priorities and demands while maintaining delivery quality.
- Strong risk and issue management capabilities, with proactive mitigation strategies.
- Proficiency in agile project management tools such as JIRA.

Located in Kelvin Grove, QLD with a Hybrid working arrangement.
12 Month initial contract.
