About the role:
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join on a 6-month contract for one of our clients based in Perth, WA.
In this role, you will be responsible for defining project scope and objectives, managing vendor selection and evaluation, and ensuring effective budget control. You will lead contract negotiations, oversee compliance, and implement risk mitigation strategies to safeguard project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Define scope and objectives by clearly outlining the event’s goals, deliverables, timelines, and vendor responsibilities to ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Manage vendor selection and evaluation by establishing qualification criteria, conducting market research, and overseeing the RFP/RFQ process to identify the most suitable delivery partner.
- Ensure budget management by developing and monitoring a detailed budget for vendor services, maintaining cost-effectiveness and adherence to financial constraints.
- Handle contract negotiation and compliance by finalising terms and conditions, ensuring legal and regulatory adherence, and protecting the organisation’s interests.
- Perform risk assessment and mitigation by identifying potential risks related to vendor performance, logistics, and timelines, and implementing contingency plans to minimise impact.
- Maintain stakeholder communication and reporting by providing transparent updates and managing expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
- Experience with Power BI projects
