About the Client
Our client is a nationally recognised organisation working at the intersection of data, technology, and public outcomes. Their work centres on delivering high‑quality information and insights that support evidence‑based decision‑making and improved wellbeing across Australia. With a strong focus on data integrity, collaboration, and innovation, the organisation delivers complex ICT initiatives that underpin critical information services used by government and the broader community.

About the Role
The organisation is seeking an experienced ICT Delivery and Project Manager to lead the end‑to‑end delivery of complex projects from initiation through to closure. Working within an established project management framework, you will partner closely with business areas and be supported by business analysts, technical specialists, and subject matter experts to ensure successful outcomes.
This is a hands‑on delivery role where you will manage scope, schedules, budgets, quality, and benefits realisation while coordinating cross‑functional teams and stakeholders. You will also play a key role in governance, reporting, risk management, procurement oversight, and continuous improvement of project management practices.
The initial contract is for 6 months, based onsite in the ACT, working 37.5 hours per week.

The Successful Candidate
The ideal candidate will bring a strong track record in delivering large‑scale ICT projects and will be comfortable operating with limited direction in a complex stakeholder environment. You will demonstrate:
  • 5+ years’ experience leading and delivering ICT projects on time and within budget
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities
  • Strong experience developing fit‑for‑purpose project documentation, plans, schedules, budgets, and governance artefacts
  • Demonstrated capability in resource planning, work breakdown structures, agile delivery practices (including scrum and sprint planning), and team leadership
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence, negotiate, and build strong stakeholder relationships
  • Experience identifying and managing risks, overseeing mitigation strategies, and reporting to senior executives and project boards
  • Ability to develop, monitor, and report on KPIs and strategic program plans
Relevant tertiary qualifications in Information Systems or a related field will be highly regarded, as will a working knowledge of PRINCE2, PMBOK, and Agile delivery methodologies.
