About the role
This role is suited to a delivery‑focused Project Manager who enjoys operating in complex environments. You will lead the execution of a large, multi‑stream transformation program involving staged migrations, vendor‑led delivery, and a broad stakeholder landscape spanning academic and professional groups.
You will be responsible for both hands‑on delivery and formal governance, working across several workstreams simultaneously to ensure successful outcomes from initiation through to operational handover.
Key areas of focus
- Lead the rollout of staged migration waves across multiple business areas concurrently
- Own delivery from start to finish, including data assessment, migration execution, and post‑go‑live support
- Drive remediation of legacy information and uplift information management practices
- Direct and coordinate a delivery partner, internal project team, and supporting technical specialists
- Actively manage risks, interdependencies, and delivery pressures across a large program footprint
- Maintain pace and accountability in a highly visible, complex stakeholder environment
- Take full accountability for end‑to‑end project delivery in line with agreed scope, schedule, budget, and quality objectives
- Ensure outcomes align with approved business cases, organisational standards, and governance requirements
- Establish and maintain delivery artefacts including detailed plans, schedules, resource forecasts, and steering cadence
- Build strong working relationships with business and technical stakeholders to enable alignment and timely decisions
- Oversee vendor performance, ensuring milestones, deliverables, and service commitments are met against contractual agreements
- Identify, assess, and manage risks, issues, and dependencies, escalating where required with clear mitigation strategies
- Manage financial performance including expenditure tracking, forecasting, and contribution to benefits realisation
- Coordinate procurement and engagement of external services as required to support delivery objectives
- Lead change and adoption activities to ensure users are prepared through training, communications, and transition planning
- Provide clear, accurate reporting to sponsors and governance forums covering status, risks, financials, and upcoming milestones
- Manage transition into business‑as‑usual, ensuring deliverables are accepted, documented, and supported by appropriate operating models
- Demonstrated success delivering large‑scale M365, collaboration, or enterprise data migration programs
- Strong working knowledge of SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, and cloud‑based migration approaches
- Experience managing legacy content, data remediation, and information management practices
- Highly developed stakeholder engagement skills across technical and non‑technical audiences
- Proven capability managing delivery partners within structured governance environments
- Ability to maintain momentum and clarity in high‑profile, politically sensitive programs
