About the Client

Our client is a reputable organisation in charge of maintaining peace and order within society. With many digital transformation projects and large-scale solutions, our client is on the lookout for a ICT Master Scheduler for current projects.

 

About the role:

 The Project Manager is responsible for the successful planning, delivery, and governance of projects in alignment with organisational policies, standards, frameworks, and delivery methodologies. Reporting to the Delivery Director, the Project Manager leads the day-to-day management of project activities, ensuring deliverables are achieved within agreed constraints of scope, time, cost, quality, risk, and benefits.

 The role works closely with stakeholders, delivery teams, and governance bodies to ensure effective project execution, stakeholder engagement, and decision-making. The Project Manager is accountable for maintaining robust project controls, monitoring performance, managing risks and issues, and supporting the realisation of intended business outcomes while ensuring compliance with established PMO governance and delivery frameworks.

  • Understand, evaluate, and implement technology solutions as they relate to business initiatives, business priorities and operational challenges.
  • Assess business requirements from various business units, identify synergies, and evaluate and manage implementation in a strategic way.
  • Ensure that the project is managed and delivered to a professional standard and in accordance with policies, standards, and procedures (both business and technical including information security) from Corporate Services, Technology Command, relevant legislation, and NSW Government requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and drive delivery of dependencies across multiple internal technology teams.
  • Experience coordinating activities between infrastructure, network, identity, security, cloud, and operational technology teams.
  • Strong capability to identify dependency risks and actively escalate blockers to maintain project timelines.
  • Provide leadership at a team and senior level and negotiate issues and solutions across the division and organisational boundaries including with the client group(s) and internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure that customer needs, expectations and satisfaction are proactively managed including compliance with client specifications and quality assurance standards.
  • Ensure appropriate delivery framework / methodology is adopted by the project.
  • Drive the delivery and implementation of the project’s products (including production of all relevant documentation for product delivery and acceptance during the project life cycle and ongoing support) that meet the project’s objectives and customer’s acceptance criteria.
  • Monitor and manage external vendors as outlined within signed contracts. This includes assisting with the RFT process, analysis, project tracking, relationship management, deliverables monitoring and reporting.
  • Manage all management activities for the project including training.
  • All other tasks as directed by the Program Manager and Delivery Director.
The Successful Candidate

 

  • Demonstrated experience in technical and/or delivery project management in a large-scale corporate environment.
  • Practical understanding of:
    • SD-WAN
    • Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA)
    • Netskope
    • Identity and Access Management (Entra ID)
    • Single Sign-On (SSO)
    • Mobile and vehicle-based connectivity solutions
  • Demonstrated ability and resilience in overcoming project obstacles to meet schedule and financial targets; and to act independently while multi-tasking to deliver key deliverables.
  • Demonstrated experience with a strong track record in delivering high-quality successful ICT projects using contemporary project management methodologies and application development methodology.
  • Excellent people skills with demonstrated ability to communicate at all levels with clarity and precision (orally, written, and presentational) with proven facilitation, influencing, negotiation and strong analytical, problem-solving skills and business acumen.
  • Certified in project management best practice methodologies, with demonstrated skills and experience in using contemporary project management methodologies to deliver best practice, client-driven ICT projects.
  • Demonstrated experience in mobilising and motivating a successful team as well as work effectively with senior leaders and drive progress in the face of ambiguous or changing situations.
  • Demonstrated experience in providing quality and accurate project status reporting according to the required standards and accurately forecasting and estimating financial and resource needs.
  • Knowledge of and experience in organisational change / benefits management
  • Experienced user of MS Project and MSOffice toolset (Word, Excel, and Power Point)
 

What's on offer?

This contract is available until June 2027.

Located in Parramatta & Sydney Olympic Park, this role offers a hybrid working arrangement.
