About the role
As a Project Support Officer, you will provide professional project coordination and administrative support to enable the effective planning, procurement, governance and delivery of projects and programs. The role works closely with product managers and stakeholders to maintain project discipline, support decision‑making, and ensure accurate, timely information flows across governance, reporting and delivery activities. These roles will be filled across multiple sustainment teams within the Department
Role Responsibilities
- Conducting planning, scheduling and estimating work/tasks to meet approved sustainment plans and roadmaps;
- Preparing project documentation and/or assist with the review and clearance of project documentation;
- Provide administrative project management assistance to the directorates;
- Stakeholder management, organisational governance and risk management support;
- Demonstrated experience in project planning, scheduling, task estimation, and monitoring progress against sustainment plans or project roadmaps.
- Proven ability to prepare, review and quality‑assure project documentation, including briefs, reports, registers and governance artefacts.
- Experience providing administrative and coordination support within project or program environments, ideally following structured project management frameworks (e.g., PRINCE2, PMBOK).

Security Requirements:
To be eligible for this role, you must be an Australian Citizen. Due to the work environment, our client has requested that all candidates are required to hold a current NV1 Security Clearance, or a TSPV. The successful candidate will need to undergo an additional security assessment before commencing in the role.
