Promontory Principal - Risk, Regulatory and Compliance Advisory

Promontory Principal (Risk, Regulatory & Compliance Advisory)

12‑Month Contract | Sydney / Melbourne

About the Consultancy

Join a leading international consultancy delivering specialised risk, regulatory, and compliance advisory services across financial services and regulated industries. Our teams partner with organisations to strengthen governance frameworks, uplift operational resilience, and respond effectively to evolving regulatory expectations.

About the End Client

The end client operates within a highly regulated financial services environment, requiring strong oversight across operational risk, compliance, and regulatory response activities. This role supports ongoing advisory engagements focused on BAU regulatory delivery, risk governance, and compliance uplift, rather than large‑scale transformation programs.

About the Role

An exciting opportunity exists for a senior Promontory Principal to lead risk, regulatory, and compliance engagements, providing strategic advisory while maintaining strong operational delivery oversight.

This role is client-facing and delivery-focused, with responsibility for:

  • Leading day‑to‑day regulatory and compliance engagements
  • Providing expert advice across non‑financial risk and operational resilience
  • Driving high‑quality reporting, analysis, and client outcomes
You will be expected to operate with authority, credibility, and strong stakeholder influence, managing complex engagements and guiding clients through regulatory requirements and compliance challenges.

Start: 1 June 2026
Contract: 12 months
Location: Sydney / Melbourne
