Key Responsibilities

  • Develop risk management strategies to minimise the impact of releases on production stability, performance and reliability
  • Uphold the Release Management competencies across the company and continually develop the process and standards to ensure that releases are implemented in a controlled manner
  • Responsible for Release reporting
  • Responsible for maintaining a Release Schedule to ensure effective prioritisation, planning and conflict mitigation
  • Analyse project documentation for the Release Gate process to ensure all projects in Release deliver the required solution on time
  • Ensure that projects that do not pass release criteria are managed
  • Responsible for producing a Release Milestone plan
  • Monitor post implementation support and produce reports with key metrics to assess project success to ensure quality assurance and the ability to track defects against releases and feedback improvements into the Solution Development Life Cycle
  • Convey the risks and issues associated with individual Releases to stakeholders to ensure group knowledge and understanding of Release decisions and outcomes
  • Project Management.
  • Assist in creating Release remediation plans
  • Ensure all tasks are communicated effectively to relevant parties and completed in a timely manner to ensure the success of Releases
  • Responsible for maintaining a Release risk, issues and dependencies log associated with individual release to ensure group knowledge and understanding of Release decisions and outcomes and to minimise conflict and delivery issues
  • Produce a Release Schedule to ensure effective prioritisation, planning and conflict mitigation
  • Responsible for project and portfolio alignment to the forward Release Schedule.
  • Participate in ongoing learning to maintain, refresh and establish new skill sets
  • Best Practice and Compliance.
  • Drive constant improvement and process change to streamline consistent quality service delivery
  • Ensure releases are managed in accordance with the Release Management methodology and end-to-end process
  • Analyse and communicate Release Management metrics
    • Responsible for maintaining a Release documentation repository ensuring all compliance requirements are met

The successful candidate:

 

  • Experience in delivering major business critical programs and multiple projects through the full systems life cycle with significant system build and integration of multi-platform systems (distributed, mid-tier, mainframe back-end)
  • Experience with the application of Release Management disciplines and techniques
  • Experience in delivering product development projects within the financial services sector, desirable
  • Qualifications in release management methodology and standards
  • Project Management accreditation

Located in Sydney, this role offers a hybrid working arrangement.
