About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Software Engineer (Developer) to support the design, development and enhancement of enterprise Salesforce solutions. This role will suit someone who enjoys working in structured, secure environments and has a strong grounding in Salesforce architecture, development best practices and release processes.
You will be responsible for delivering high‑quality Salesforce solutions, translating business requirements into technical designs, and contributing to the ongoing evolution of the Salesforce platform across multiple environments.
Key responsibilities include:
- Defining Salesforce technical requirements and designing scalable, maintainable solutions
- Developing, configuring and deploying Salesforce applications across environments
- Ensuring solutions align with Salesforce architecture standards, best practices and product roadmaps
- Participating in planning and analysis of business requirements and system enhancements
- Translating application designs into functional configurations and custom code
- Supporting release, deployment and testing activities to ensure reliable delivery
The Successful Candidate
To be successful in this role, you will be an experienced Salesforce professional with strong technical capability and a methodical approach to software delivery in secure environments.
You will bring:
- A degree in Computer Science (or a related field), or equivalent professional experience (3+ years)
- Strong experience customising and extending the Salesforce platform using low‑code tools and programming languages
- Demonstrated architectural knowledge across multiple Salesforce clouds and industry solutions
- Experience designing, coding, testing and deploying complex applications and integrations
- Familiarity with structured release, deployment and testing processes
Candidates must also be willing to undergo an Organisational Suitability Assessment (OSA) prior to engagement.

Location: The role is based in Canberra ACT.
Contract terms: 12 months from commencement date, plus 2x 12 month extensions
Experience Level: Senior – APS6 Equivalent
Security Requirements: Minimum NV1 Security Clearance is required. An OSA(Organisational Suitability Assessment) will be required for this position.
