About the Role
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced SAP Application Security Consultant to join a high‑performing security and SAP program team. You will work across complex initiatives focused on securing SAP HANA platforms, uplifting governance, and embedding robust security controls across enterprise environments.
This role requires an on‑site presence 5 days per week, working hands‑on with stakeholders, architects, and SAP technical teams to deliver secure, resilient, and compliant outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver expert‑level consulting services in SAP HANA Application Security.
- Lead SAP HANA security assessments, risk identification, and mitigation planning.
- Implement, configure and manage SAP HANA application security controls.
- Work directly with clients to assess security needs and develop tailored solutions.
- Conduct training, knowledge‑sharing sessions, and security uplift workshops.
- Contribute to the development of internal methodologies, tools, and security frameworks.
- Participate in proposals and project bids, providing technical input and effort estimates.
- Travel to client sites as required for project delivery and workshops.
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of SAP HANA security trends, threats and best practices.
- Baseline clearance required; ability to obtain NV1 is essential.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Cyber Security, or similar.
- 7+ years’ experience in SAP HANA Application Security consulting roles.
- Strong understanding of SAP HANA architecture, database security, and user authorisation concepts.
- Hands‑on experience with RBAC, SoD, encryption, and other critical controls.
- Proficiency with SAP HANA Cockpit, SAP Solution Manager, SAP NetWeaver Administrator.
- Understanding of security frameworks (ISO27001, GDPR, HIPAA).
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently.
- Willingness to travel as required.
- SAP HANA certifications.
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA or SAP Cloud Platform.
- Threat modelling and secure coding knowledge.
- Familiarity with security testing methodologies and tooling.
