About the role:
An opportunity exists for a highly experienced SAP Basis Consultant to lead our high-performance team and drive strategic SAP technology initiatives. This role demands a deep understanding of SAP architecture, extensive hands-on experience, and a proven track record of executing complex SAP projects.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Be an Australian citizen with an active NV1 AGSVA clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field. A minimum of 10+ years relevant professional experience can also be considered in lieu of a degree.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Consultancy: Guide clients in their SAP strategy, providing expert advice on system architecture, security, and performance optimization.
- Complex System Architecture Design: Design and architect complex SAP systems, considering future growth and technological advancements.
- Project Leadership: Lead large-scale SAP Basis projects from conception through to delivery, managing cross-functional teams and third-party vendors.
- Technical Innovation and Thought Leadership: Stay updated with the latest trends and innovations in SAP technology. Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the SAP Basis environment.
- Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with SAP implementations, upgrades, and migrations.
- Vendor and Partner Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with SAP technology vendors and partners to ensure optimal use of resources and cutting-edge solutions.
- Mentorship and Talent Development: Mentor junior consultants, share knowledge, and contribute to their professional development.
- Client Relationship Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients, understanding their business needs and translating them into SAP technology solutions.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure the delivery of high-quality SAP solutions by implementing robust quality assurance processes and standards.
The Successful Candidate
- Extensive experience as a SAP Basis Consultant with a strong focus on SAP ECC, SAP HANA, and/or SAP S/4HANA.
- In-depth understanding of SAP Basis administration, including system monitoring, performance tuning, security management, and backup/recovery procedures.
- Strong knowledge of SAP NetWeaver, SAP Solution Manager, and other related technologies.
- Familiarity with SAP HANA Administration and Database Management Systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think logically.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Project management skills, including planning, organizing, and managing resources to successfully complete specific goals and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
