SAP Expert Opportunity in Brisbane, Queensland. Contract initially until 28 June 2026.
Our QLD Government client is seeking a SAP Functional Expert specialising in HR/ Payroll.
Reporting to the Project Manager, you will provide expert advice and content knowledge of the SAP HR/Payroll solution to ensure maintenance, and support, by providing troubleshooting expertise for tickets assigned to the Project. Your role will include design and configuration activities which are required to meet service delivery and project objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, configure, and test SAP per information system standards.
- Troubleshoot problem tickets allocated to the project
- Train users of SAP.
- Proactively assess the effectiveness of the SAP system and liaise closely with stakeholders to recommend modifications to improve system effectiveness.
- Document system configuration, functional specifications, review technical specifications and procedures.
- Implement updates and upgrades of the SAP system
- Collaborate with the support team to consider implications of system changes.
- Perform other duties as directed.
The successful candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
- Demonstrated high level analytical and problem-solving skills in SAP HR in Organisational Management, Payroll (Australian-based system), HR to FI/CO integration, Time Management, Personnel Administration, CATS, ESS/MSS.
- Proven experience in formulating, documenting and implementing functional and technical specifications including sound knowledge of current technical trends, including systems integrations and service-orientated architecture.
- Demonstrated extensive experience in the support and configuration of large-scale HR SAP Solutions.
- Demonstrated knowledge of relevant payroll legislation and award structures in Government.
- High level of written and verbal communication skills and the ability to consult and negotiate with a diverse range of stakeholders
- Hands on configuration experience in SAP ECC6-EHP8 and earlier versions for over 10 years would be well regarded.
