About the role:
An opportunity exists for a SAS Developer with advanced expertise in SAS, SQL, and modern data platforms. This role is pivotal in designing and implementing robust data solutions for credit risk and banking operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborating with Credit Risk Business Stakeholder, Service Owners, Solution Engineers and Line of Business (LOB) Leads to prioritize, size, and assess the requirements and backlog
- Working with business units to understand Credit Risk-related data elements, including reference data, metadata, and data lineage
- Guiding Agile teams in designing, developing, testing, implementing, and supporting technical solutions using full-stack development tools, technologies, and DevOps processes.
- Support translation of business requirements into IT solution concept and designs
- Support development of solution architectures that ensure successful implementation of technology solutions while aligning with design principles and standards
- Support the production incidents through root cause analysis to identify if the production issues were because of a design defect or requirements gap and provide effective solutions
- Provide third-line support for any issues where necessary
- Provide input to high level IT & Business Solution Design documents
- Provide input and advice to the business for the effective application of technologies
- Provide end to end implementation planning support
- Provide oversight and validation of proposed complex changes to business services to ensure ongoing stability and sustainability
- Deliver cost estimates for the design and develop phase in partnership with the architect, business analysts, project management, subject matter experts and solution providers for projects to provide accurate and timely cost estimates
- Assist the Solution Engineer and Data Engineers in design and development
Required Experience:
- 3+ years of SAS Tech Lead experience in a similar role
- 5+ years of experience within projects and/or delivery of business and technology solutions, involving engineering of complex data processes
- 5+ years of Advanced SQL and SAS experience particularly in data manipulation, cleansing using Base SAS, SAS/Macro, SAS DI Studio, SAS Enterprise Guide, SAS Management Console and overall SAS Platform
- 3+ years of experience in Big Data (Hadoop, Spark, Hive, HBase, Python), API Dev(Java Spring, MVC), Azure Cloud (Synapse Analytics, CosmosDB)
- Experience in warehousing, modelling, integration tools such as Informatica, Sterling and be familiar with business intelligence tools such as IBM Cognos/TM1, Power Bi, Tableau.
- Experience designing solution within SAS 9.4 or Viya platform
- Experience working in Azure cloud environment
- Understanding of the Data Mesh Architecture and its Domain Data Products concepts
- Analysis and design experience on medium to complex 'enterprise sized' projects.
- Systems integration experience and Technology industry experience, exposure to the Banking industry specially Credit Risk domain
- Development and deployment experience on more than one platform and exposure to multiple development methodologies
- Must have experience in systems and data integration
- Advanced analysis, problem solving and troubleshooting and consultative skills
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills
