Our Federal Government client is currently seeking a Scrum Master to join their team in Canberra, ACT.

About the role:
The Scrum Master supports a high‑performing delivery team by applying agile practices, continuously improving ways of working, and partnering with Delivery Managers to remove blockers and maintain strong delivery momentum.
Role Responsibilities:
- Manage scope and timeline for specific projects
- Coordinate sprints, retrospective meetings and regular team stand-ups
- Coach team members in Agile methodologies
- Facilitate internal communication and effective collaboration
- Work with product owners to handle project backlog and new requests
- Resolve conflicts and assist with removal of blockers/obstacles
- Ensure deliverables are up to standard and requirements at sprint end
- Guide development teams to higher scrum maturity
- Ability to identify and prioritise meaningful measures and targets, support teams in developing effective measurement methods, and guide the collection, storage, and reporting of data.
- Experience advising on the adoption and effective use of methods and tools, tailoring processes to agreed standards, and improving how these practices are applied across teams.
- Strong facilitation skills, enabling workgroups to achieve defined outcomes, build shared ownership, strengthen collaborative problem‑solving, and embed agreed team principles and practices.
- 12-month contract, with 2 x 12-month extension options.
- Competitive hourly rate
- APS6 – EL1 equivalent position
To be eligible for this role, you must be an Australian Citizen. Due to the work environment, our client has requested that all candidates are required to hold a current Baseline Security Clearance. The successful candidate will need to undergo an additional security assessment before commencing in the role.
