About the Role
We’re seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer with strong hands‑on capability in Cisco SD‑WAN (Viptela) and Cisco ISE to join a major program within a secure federal environment. This is a high‑impact delivery role involving modern network transformation, multi‑site uplift, and secure access enablement.
You’ll work closely with architecture, delivery, and operational teams to design, implement, and troubleshoot enterprise‑grade network solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver Cisco SD‑WAN (Viptela) solutions across multi‑site environments
- Build and optimise SD‑WAN templates, policies, and routing architectures
- Deliver Cisco ISE configurations including 802.1X, MAB, RADIUS/TACACS+, profiling and guest/BYOD
- Develop and maintain HLD/LLD, implementation plans, run sheets and cutover documentation
- Troubleshoot complex WAN, routing, and segmentation issues
- Assist with network upgrades, migrations, and change management processes
- Work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams and stakeholders across a secure environment
- Proven experience delivering Cisco SD‑WAN (Viptela)
projects
(vManage, vSmart, vBond, templates, OMP, TLOCs) - Strong knowledge and hands‑on experience with Cisco ISE(NAC, 802.1X, TACACS+, TrustSec)
- Deep routing & switching experience (BGP, OSPF, QoS, IPSEC)
- Experience working in secure federal environments (preferred)
- Strong documentation skills (HLD, LLD, implementation plans)
- Excellent troubleshooting and stakeholder communication abilities
- NV1 or NV2 clearance(mandatory)
- Experience with SD‑Access or DNAC
- Firewall knowledge: Cisco ASA/FTD, Palo Alto, Fortinet
- Experience with automation (Python/Ansible)
- Cloud networking exposure (Azure/AWS)
- Long‑term program with ongoing extension potential
- High‑security environment working on critical national infrastructure
- Exposure to modern Cisco networking technologies and architecture
