About the Role
An exciting opportunity exists for a Security Project Executive to lead the end-to-end delivery of managed cyber security services across a complex operational landscape.
This role will see you overseeing security operations, governance, incident response, and stakeholder engagement, ensuring the organisation maintains a strong and compliant security posture. You will act as a trusted advisor and senior escalation point, driving both operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Service Delivery & Governance
- Lead governance across all cyber security operations services
- Manage SLAs, KPIs, OLAs, and service quality across onshore/offshore teams
- Conduct weekly, monthly, and quarterly service reviews
- Ensure security processes, runbooks, and procedures meet regulatory requirements
- Oversee threat detection, monitoring, and incident response activities
- Validate and triage security events and risks across teams
- Drive improvements across SIEM, EDR, NDR, logging, and automation
- Act as Incident Commander for major cyber incidents
- Coordinate cross-functional response across technology, legal, and executive teams
- Lead post-incident reviews and remediation planning
- Build relationships with senior stakeholders and executives
- Provide strategic guidance on cyber security uplift and risk management
- Support security strategy aligned with NIST CSF, ISO 27001, and SOCI Act
- Lead and mentor cyber security teams across locations
- Deliver executive-level reporting and dashboards on security performance
- Track progress across continuous improvement and security uplift initiatives
- Proven experience leading managed security services and SOC operations
- Strong background in security operations, incident response, and governance
- Experience managing hybrid onshore/offshore delivery models
- Strong knowledge of security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, SOCI Act)
- Ability to manage high-severity incidents and crisis situations
- Excellent stakeholder communication, including executive-level engagement
- Network Security: Cisco ASA, Fortinet
- CASB: Netskope
- Email Security: Proofpoint
- Vulnerability Management: Qualys
- Endpoint Security: Microsoft Defender
- OT Monitoring: Claroty
- Strong understanding of SIEM and detection capabilities
- 6-month part-time contract (2.5 days/week)
