About the Role
We are seeking Senior AWS Cloud Engineers (EL1 equivalent) to design, deliver, and optimise secure, scalable, and cost-effective cloud solutions across enterprise environments. You will lead cloud transformation initiatives, modernise legacy systems, and embed best practices for cloud adoption. This role is pivotal in ensuring elasticity, security, and operational efficiency in a rapidly evolving cloud landscape.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Designing and implementing AWS cloud architectures that meet security and scalability requirements.
  • Leading cloud migration and modernisation projects.
  • Deploying automation and monitoring tools for resilience and repeatability.
  • Promoting cloud best practices and uplifting internal capability.
  • Driving continuous improvement and cost optimisation.
The Successful Candidate
To be considered, you must:
  • Be an Australian Citizen with a minimum NV1 security clearance (TSPV highly desirable).
  • Have 5–10 years’ experience delivering AWS solutions for complex projects.
  • Demonstrate strong technical skills across AWS services, cloud architecture, and automation frameworks.
  • Possess excellent organisational and communication skills.
Desirable:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
  • Experience managing complex projects.
  • Familiarity with IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation), DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes).
Candidates must also be willing to undergo an Organisational Suitability Assessment (OSA) prior to engagement.

Location: The role is based in QLD, WA, ACT, VIC, NSW, NT, SA, TAS
Contract terms: 12 months from commencement date, plus potential extensions
SFIA level required: The Specified Person will be expected to demonstrate attributes of SFIA Level of Responsibility 5.
Security Requirements: Be an Australian Citizen with a minimum NV1 security clearance (TSPV highly desirable). An OSA(Organisational Suitability Assessment) will be required for this position.
