Role Responsibilities
The Senior Data Developer role contributes to the technical design and development of key program initiatives, taking responsibility for building data workflows, ETL processes, data warehouses, data lakes, analytics solutions and data visualisation products. The role also provides expert advice on improving processes, products and deployed code, while working closely with stakeholders to understand their needs and deliver solutions to complex business problems.
Key responsibilities & Technical Skills Required:
- Lead the technical design and development of project deliverables
- Design and develop data workflows
- Design and develop Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) processes
- Design and develop data warehouse, data lake and database solutions
- Design and develop data visualisation solutions
- Support Agile project delivery
- Engage effectively with stakeholders
- Azure stack (including Synapse, Blob Storage, Azure Data Factory, Data Lake, Azure DB) - Strong understanding of DevOps or other version control system - PowerBI - Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, C# or C++
What you’ll bring:
- At least 3+ years of experience in Data Development
- Perform detail design based on high level architecture Experience in detailed design for data integration on Azure cloud data services including ADLS, SQL DB,
- Proficient with Azure data factory and Azure Event Hub
- Experience working in an Agile environment
- Development experience with Power BI (stored procedure, DAX, functions, views)
- Good interpersonal skills/teamwork skills, including the ability to communicate clearly and concisely in both written and verbal form with a range of stakeholders and team
- Experience developing and interfacing with Restful APIs or similar
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++, and experience with AI/ML libraries and frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn)
- Experience in data pre-processing, cleaning, and visualization techniques, as well as handling large-scale datasets and distributed computing frameworks (e.g., Apache Spark)
- Knowledge of government regulations, policies, and ethical considerations surrounding AI/ML technologies and data sources is highly desirable

To be eligible for this role, you must be an Australian Citizen. Due to the work environment, our client has requested that all candidates are required to hold a current NV1 TSPV Security Clearance.
