About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Cloud and Automation Engineer to design and deliver scalable, secure cloud automation solutions for secure environments. This role involves working closely with internal stakeholders to create cost-effective, resilient cloud-based solutions, while identifying opportunities to streamline and improve existing capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement automated solutions for cloud infrastructure.
- Identify automation opportunities within software and business processes.
- Develop and execute QA tests using scripts and tools.
- Troubleshoot complex systems and ensure security measures are in place.
- Collaborate across teams to enhance workflows through automation.
To excel in this role, you will have:
- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong programming and scripting skills.
- Expertise in at least one major cloud platform (AWS preferred).
- Proficiency with Infrastructure-as-Code and automation tools.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a high-security environment (NV1 clearance required; OSA highly preferred).
- Contract Duration: 12 months with up to two 12-month extensions.
- Location: Canberra, ACT.

Location: The role is based in Canberra ACT or Bendigo, VIC.
Contract terms: 12 months from commencement date, plus potential extensions
SFIA level required: The Specified Person will be expected to demonstrate attributes of SFIA Level of Responsibility 3-5.
Security Requirements: Current Top-Secret Positive Vetting (TSPV) security clearance is strongly preferred, however candidates who have held a TSPV in the previous 12-month period (which has since been downgraded) may be considered. An OSA(Organisational Suitability Assessment) will be required for this position.
