About the Role
We are seeking experienced Senior Cloud Architects and Cloud Engineers to support the delivery of a range of enterprise ICT initiatives within a large and complex technology environment.
Working as part of multidisciplinary teams, you will provide architectural leadership, cloud engineering expertise and technical guidance across the design, implementation and optimisation of cloud-based solutions. You will play a key role in developing enterprise cloud platforms, driving best practice architecture, and ensuring solutions align with government standards and organisational objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop enterprise-level cloud platform architectures across Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365.
  • Design high-level and detailed cloud solution architectures.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to cloud engineering teams.
  • Conduct impact analysis of business and stakeholder requirements.
  • Ensure solutions align with government architecture standards and best practices.
  • Support the design, build, automation and deployment of cloud-based systems.
  • Collaborate with business owners, architects, developers, testers and project teams to deliver fit-for-purpose solutions.
  • Contribute to CI/CD, infrastructure as code, testing and platform automation initiatives.
  • Promote modern architecture principles, reusability and user-centred design practices.
  • Provide leadership, strategic thinking and stakeholder influence across programs and projects.
What You Will Bring
  • Minimum five years' experience implementing and managing cloud technologies and solutions.
  • Strong experience designing and implementing cloud-based solutions using:
  • Azure App Services
  • Azure Functions
  • Azure Logic Apps
  • Azure SQL
  • Azure Service Bus
  • Azure API Management
  • Experience using Azure DevOps for source control, Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD deployments.
  • Strong understanding of:
  • Microsoft Entra ID
  • Azure Key Vault
  • Azure Monitor
  • Application Insights
  • Azure networking and security services
  • Virtual Networks, Private Endpoints and Role-Based Access Control (RBAC)
  • Experience integrating cloud platforms with third-party systems, including Dynamics 365 environments.
  • Ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders across geographically dispersed teams.
  • Experience delivering secure and reliable solutions within Agile multidisciplinary environments.
Desirable Experience
  • Technical leadership across project and operational environments.
  • Experience developing application, integration or infrastructure platform architectures.
  • Experience designing and documenting architectures for large-scale enterprise environments.
  • Exposure to AWS and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

  • Initial 12-month contract.
  • Two potential 12-month extension options.
  • Remote working arrangements available, subject to operational requirements and approval.
Security Requirements
Australian Citizenship is mandatory.
Candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Baseline Security Clearance.
