About the Role
We are seeking three Senior Full Stack Software Engineers to join a high-performing technology team based in Canberra. This is an exciting opportunity for experienced developers who enjoy solving complex technical challenges, building secure and scalable applications, and contributing across the full software development lifecycle.
In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, enhancing and supporting modern enterprise applications while providing technical expertise and leadership within an agile delivery environment.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Analysing complex business and technical requirements to develop effective solution designs.
  • Designing and enhancing user interfaces, APIs and system integrations.
  • Developing secure, scalable and maintainable full stack applications.
  • Implementing enhancements and supporting software releases in collaboration with testing, operations and release management teams.
  • Contributing to technical standards, best practices and development frameworks.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving complex software issues.
  • Participating in peer code reviews and ensuring high-quality software delivery.
  • Collaborating with business and technical stakeholders to deliver outcomes aligned with organisational objectives.
  • Supporting knowledge sharing, mentoring and capability uplift across teams.
  • Contributing to DevSecOps, automation and continuous improvement initiatives.
This role offers an initial long-term engagement with the possibility of extension and the opportunity to work on large-scale technology initiatives that directly support critical national functions.
The Successful Candidate
To be successful in this position, you will be a seasoned full stack software engineer with a passion for delivering high-quality solutions in complex enterprise environments.
You will demonstrate experience across:
  • Full stack application development.
  • API development and systems integration.
  • Cloud-native application development.
  • DevSecOps and automation engineering practices.
  • Secure software development methodologies.
  • Modern software design principles and architecture.
  • Agile delivery environments and collaborative development practices.
In addition, you will bring:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication abilities.
  • Experience mentoring and supporting junior team members.
  • A proactive approach to continuous improvement and innovation.
  • The ability to work effectively both independently and within multidisciplinary teams.

Location: The role is based in Barton, Canberra ACT.
Office Type: Onsite
Contract terms: 36 months from commencement date, plus rolling 12 month extensions as required
Estimated Hours: 37.5 per week
Security Requirements: Due to the nature of this position, candidates must hold a minimum NV1 security clearance.
