This engagement focuses on building and evolving cross‑platform mobile solutions aligned to strong engineering and security standards.
About the Role
An exciting opportunity exists for a highly experienced Senior MAUI Developer to plan, design, build, test, and document complex software components that deliver agreed value to stakeholders. The role involves leading complex software construction activities, contributing to engineering standards, and driving adoption of best practices, while applying agreed SDLC and security standards in either Agile or predictive delivery environments.
This is a 12‑month initial contract, available in Canberra, Melbourne, and Brisbane only.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse user requirements, translate them into technical designs, and build new features using .NET backend services and cross‑platform mobile development with MAUI/Xamarin and C#.
- Deliver mobile UI design for iOS and Android, ensuring usability and performance.
- Write and execute unit and integration tests, troubleshoot issues, and ensure software quality and performance.
- Maintain and update existing software: bug fixes, performance improvements, upgrades, and interface enhancements.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including UX/UI designers, project managers, and developers to meet specifications and user needs.
- Produce technical documentation, user guides, and progress/specification reporting.
- Engage stakeholders to clarify requirements, provide updates, and recommend improvements.
- 10+ years hands‑on experience developing complex MAUI‑based solutions.
- Expert experience across:
- .NET, MAUI/Xamarin, C#
- Mobile UI design for iOS and Android
- Secure integration with RESTful APIs and identity management
- Performance profiling and optimisation
- Object‑oriented design principles
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting capability.
- Solid understanding of SDLC, Agile methodologies, and ORM frameworks.
- Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
- Must hold an active AGSVA Baseline, NV1, or NV2 clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / IT (or equivalent experience).
- Experience working in government or highly regulated environments.
- Exposure to Digital Identity solutions.
- 12‑month initial contract with strong potential for extension based on delivery outcomes.
- Work on secure, cross‑platform mobile applications with modern engineering practices.
- Opportunity to lead complex build activities and influence best practices and standards.
- Locations available only in Canberra, Melbourne, and Brisbane.
