Our Federal Government client is currently seeking Senior Project Officers to join their teams in the ACT.

About the role
A Project Officer plays a vital role in keeping projects moving by supporting day‑to‑day operations, coordinating activities, and helping ensure successful delivery across a dynamic project environment.
Role Responsibilities
- Engage with stakeholders to clarify and support specific project requirements.
- Provide operational support to project management, including coordination and administrative activities.
- Lead the development and maintenance of project planning and processes in line with agreed procedures.
- Research, draft, and prepare briefs, correspondence, and reports, including supporting finance‑related documentation and submissions for committee consideration.
What you will bring:
- Experience providing operational, administrative, and coordination support to project management activities.
- Ability to lead the development and maintenance of project plans, processes, and documentation in line with agreed procedures.
- Strong skills in researching, drafting, and preparing briefs, correspondence, reports, and finance‑related documentation for review or committee consideration.
- Confidence engaging with stakeholders to clarify requirements and support effective project delivery.
- Certification in project methodologies such as PRINCE2, Agile, or equivalent.
What is on offer:
- 12-month contract, with 2 x 12-month extension options.
- Competitive hourly rate
- APS6 equivalent position
To be eligible for this role, you must be an Australian Citizen. Due to the work environment, our client has requested that all candidates are required to hold a current Top Security Clearance. The successful candidate will need to undergo an additional security assessment before commencing in the role.
