We are seeking an experienced Senior Security Engineer to join a high-performing technology team delivering modern network security solutions across enterprise environments. This is an exciting opportunity for a security professional who combines deep network and infrastructure security expertise with a passion for automation, AI-driven capabilities, and operational excellence.
You will play a key role in designing, implementing and enhancing secure network environments while driving innovation through scripting, APIs, automation frameworks and intelligent analytics.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement and support enterprise-grade network security solutions.
- Manage and optimise firewall platforms including Palo Alto, Cisco FTD, Juniper and Check Point environments.
- Develop and maintain network security automation using tools such as Python, Terraform and Ansible.
- Leverage AI-enabled capabilities and intelligent analytics to improve threat detection, streamline operations and enhance service delivery.
- Collaborate with cloud, infrastructure and DevOps teams to embed security best practices across platforms and pipelines.
- Troubleshoot complex network and security issues across hybrid and cloud environments.
- Contribute to security architecture, engineering standards and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams in Agile delivery environments.
- 8-10+ years of experience in network security, cloud security, or infrastructure security engineering roles.
- Strong hands-on experience with one or more major firewall platforms, including Palo Alto Networks; Cisco Firepower (FTD); Juniper; Check Point
- Strong networking fundamentals and practical experience with Routing & Switching; OSPF; BGP; VLANs; Port Channels; VRFs; Cisco ACI architecture
- Experience working within cloud environments such as AWS and/or Azure.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices and security integration within cloud-native environments.
- Strong automation and scripting experience using tools such as Python; Terraform; Ansible; APIs and infrastructure automation frameworks
- Demonstrated experience driving automation initiatives and AI-enabled operational improvements within network security functions.
- Experience working in Agile delivery environments and collaborating across multidisciplinary teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
