Senior Service Delivery Manager

This major Australian government agency is responsible for gathering foreign signals intelligence, defending national networks, and conducting authorised cyber operations to support the nation’s security. They continue to expand capabilities to meet emerging global threats. Alongside operational work, they offer career pathways, public cyber safety guidance, and national threat reporting to help keep Australians secure.
 
About the role/ Experience required:
You will oversee the delivery and support of IT tools and services to users internally and sometimes to external users as well. Look for opportunities to improve service delivery support meeting user and business needs. Undertake a continuing critical review of Compartment Security's (CS) systems and processes.
 
Key duties and responsibilities
  • Ensure systems and processes support efficient delivery of Compartment Security services across Government and Defence.
  • Lead major projects, including developing an online COMSO training program and creating standard operating procedures and a service catalogue.
  • Coordinate with departments to develop IT solutions that enhance Compartment Security’s ability to meet security and assurance requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes, and services within Compartment Security.
  • Recommend and oversee timely implementation of service and process improvements.
  • Maintain high performance across Compartment Security service processes and driving continuous improvement.
  • Engage stakeholders to identify, streamline, and enhance existing processes and services.
 
 
Essential
  • At least 5 years' experience in Government and Defence Security, Intelligence or Operations.
  • Demonstrated prior EL2 (including acting EL2) or SES experience in the APS.
  • Demonstrated experience streamlining business processes.
  • Demonstrated experience in project management and service delivery with achieved desired outcomes.
  • Demonstrated experience achieving results with minimum supervision.
  • Demonstrated customer engagement and liaison experience, developing comprehensive stakeholder management strategies and plans.
 
Desirable:
  • Experience in development and delivery of major projects, initiatives and required deliverables.
  • Knowledge of the current Government and Defence security environment, and responsibilities.
  • Experience working in a Communications Intelligence Security Officer (COMSO) capacity.

Location: This role is based in Canberra ACT, onside – WFH cannot be accommodated.
Contract terms: 12 month contract + 2x12 month extensions
Security Requirements:  Candidates require Australian citizenship along with an active TSPV clearance.  Candidates will need to be willing to undergo pre-employment checks which may include, ID and work rights, security clearance verification, and any other client requested checks.
