About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Unified Communications Engineer to join a dynamic team responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining Unified Communications (UC) systems. This role involves:
- Leading the design and deployment of UC solutions, ensuring scalability and security.
- Developing UC roadmaps and collaborating with architecture and cybersecurity teams.
- Managing telephony, collaboration platforms, messaging systems, and video conferencing environments.
- Providing technical expertise and support for UC upgrades and troubleshooting.
- Researching emerging technologies to inform future strategies.
To excel in this role, you will have:
- At least 10 years’ experience in designing, deploying, and managing UC systems.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Expertise in solution architecture, network design, and systems integration.
- Proven ability to develop detailed design and implementation plans.
- A collaborative approach and excellent problem-solving capabilities.
- A relevant degree in Computer Science, Communications, or similar.
- Knowledge of ASD Essential 8 and ICT security accreditation processes.
- Familiarity with emerging networking and collaboration technologies.
- Experience in day-to-day UC operations, including voice, video, and VoIP systems.
- This is a 12-month contract based in Canberra (ACT) with two 12-month extension options.
- Opportunity to work on high-impact projects within a leading Australian Government department.
- Hybrid work arrangements (primarily on-site in Canberra).
To be eligible for this role, you must be an Australian Citizen. Due to the work environment, our client has requested that all candidates are required to hold a current NV1 Security Clearance.
