The end client is a large enterprise organisation operating a corporate records and collaboration environment at significant scale. This role supports the ongoing optimisation, governance, and modernisation of an enterprise Microsoft 365 platform containing hundreds of SharePoint sites and millions of documents, with strong focus on compliance and records management.
About the Role
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Application Developer / SharePoint Consultant with strong expertise across SharePoint Online and Microsoft Modern Workplace technologies.
You will advise on best‑practice SharePoint workflows, permissions, and compliance models while designing and optimising M365 solutions that support enterprise‑scale records management, governance, and end‑user productivity.
This role blends hands‑on delivery, solution design, and stakeholder engagement, making it ideal for a consultant who enjoys shaping scalable collaboration platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise on best‑practice SharePoint Online workflows, permissions, and compliance models across an enterprise records hub.
- Design, review, and optimise workflows using Nintex and Power Automate.
- Develop high‑level and detailed solution designs, supporting solution architecture documentation.
- Translate business requirements and acceptance criteria into practical, scalable M365 solutions.
- Work closely with Business Analysts, Architects, and stakeholders to ensure alignment between business needs and technical delivery.
- Support migration, modernisation, and optimisation initiatives across Microsoft 365 collaboration platforms.
- Apply records management and governance principles to ensure solutions meet operational and regulatory requirements.
- Contribute to architectural governance and solution documentation standards.
- 5+ years’ experience developing or configuring SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365 solutions.
- Strong expertise in SharePoint site architecture, document management, and permissions models.
- Deep understanding of compliance, governance, and records management within SharePoint.
- Hands‑on experience with Nintex and Power Automate for workflow automation.
- Experience designing and maintaining enterprise‑scale SharePoint environments.
- Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to clearly communicate with business stakeholders, architects, and BA teams.
- Experience producing technical design documentation and supporting architectural governance.
- Understanding of the broader Microsoft 365 collaboration ecosystem(SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Office 365).
- Basic awareness of Microsoft 365 Copilot and integration considerations.
- Experience with records management practices.
- Exposure to Microsoft 365 migration and modernisation initiatives.
- Experience in RFx writing.
- Familiarity with enterprise or regulated operating environments.
- Australian Permanent Residency or Citizenship required.
