About the Role
We are seeking a Site Reliability Officer to provide the environment needed to deliver the organisation’s services quickly and efficiently, using automation and self-service.
You will:
- Develop and deliver software and scripts using multiple languages (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript) and tools to meet business requirements and ensure high-quality user experience.
- Lead and collaborate in agile teams, coordinating with stakeholders to resolve system interdependencies and deliver integrated solutions.
- Adhere to and enhance engineering processes, contributing to leadership efforts for continuous improvement and documenting technical workflows.
- Plan and monitor work schedules, reporting progress and ensuring alignment with project goals.
The Successful Candidate
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with business areas, technology providers, and multidisciplinary teams to negotiate solutions and mentor junior staff.
- Design and implement technical solutions using technologies such as Kubernetes, GitLab CI, Kafka, Linux, Java, and Python to meet mission requirements.
- Manage organisational data assets in compliance with policies and industry standards, ensuring integrity and security.

Location: The role will be based onsite in the ACT.
Contract terms: 12 months initial contract.
Security Requirements: Current TSPV clearance required.
