About the Role:
Our large government department client has identified a need for an experienced Standard Operating Environment (SOE) Integration Engineer is required to support an existing contractor workforce within a specialised integration environment. The role involves providing advanced engineering and technical services to assist with the design, development, build, and ongoing support of ICT capabilities across both fixed and deployable systems. The position focuses on delivering hands-on technical expertise to develop and integrate system capabilities, ensuring reliable and scalable solutions within complex infrastructure environments.
- SOE Design & Deployment Expertise – Strong experience building, configuring, and maintaining Standard Operating Environments using MDT, MECM, and Intune
- Automation & DevOps Skills – Proficiency in PowerShell, Ansible, GitLab, and build automation aligned with DevOps practices
- Microsoft Infrastructure Management – Deep knowledge of Windows Server/Windows 10+, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, PKI, and security controls
- Software Packaging & Application Management – Ability to package, deploy, and manage enterprise applications across Windows (and ideally Linux) environments
- Network & Systems Integration – Experience supporting deployable LANs, data centre, and network integration solutions within complex environments
- Testing, Evaluation & Documentation – Capability to develop technical documentation, manage configuration control, and perform system testing and validation
- Technical Advisory & Innovation – Ability to provide expert guidance, contribute to system design, and evaluate emerging technologies for future capability development
