About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for an NV2‑cleared Solution Architect to join a major secure system build project. You will design and oversee end‑to‑end technical architecture, ensuring alignment with enterprise principles, security requirements, and regulatory standards. The role offers an initial 6‑month contract based in Canberra, with strong extension potential and the option to transition into a permanent role for those seeking stability.
Role Responsibilities
- Develop end‑to‑end solution architectures across infrastructure, cloud, network, and applications.
- Ensure all architectural designs meet security frameworks and compliance standards.
- Produce high‑quality artefacts including HLDs, LLDs, integration architecture, and data flows.
- Collaborate closely with technical SMEs, security teams, project managers, and business stakeholders.
- Provide guidance, assurance, and governance across build, integration, testing, and deployment phases.
- Assess technology options and recommend cost‑effective, secure, scalable solutions.
- Identify technical risks, dependencies, and integration challenges.
- Contribute to roadmaps and future‑state architectural planning.
- Minimum 3+ years in Solution Architecture or senior technical design roles.
- Strong knowledge of enterprise systems, secure integration patterns, cloud platforms, and infrastructure design.
- Experience working on complex system builds or large‑scale transformation programs.
- Familiarity with architecture frameworks such as TOGAF.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Relevant certifications (cloud, TOGAF, security) are desirable.
- NV2 security clearance is essential.
- Initial 6‑month contract with strong extension opportunities.
- Option to convert to a permanent position.
