About the role:  
An opportunity exists for a Solution Engineer with expertise in SAS, SQL, and modern data platforms. This role is pivotal in designing and engineering robust data solutions for credit risk and banking operations.
You’ll design, implement, and optimise enterprise data products, collaborating closely with business and technology stakeholders to drive impactful outcomes in credit risk.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyse business requirements, conduct impact analysis, and estimate effort for solution delivery.
- Design and implement cross-functional data solutions using SAS, Hadoop, Azure, and related technologies.
- Engineer data products for sourcing, quality, and enterprise reusability.
- Oversee technical documentation, governance, and solution alignment with design standards.
- Collaborate with business and tech leads to prioritise and deliver on requirements.
- Guide Agile teams in full-stack development and DevOps processes.
- Work with credit risk data, including reference data, metadata, and data lineage.
- 5+ years in credit risk or banking environments.
- 10+ years in engineering business and technology solutions.
- 5+ years of advanced SQL and SAS (Base SAS, SAS/Macro, SAS DI Studio, SAS Enterprise Guide, SAS Management Console).
- Experience with Hadoop, Spark, Hive, HBase, Python, Java, Spring Boot, Git, Flink, CosmosDB, Akka, Scala, Synapse.
- Strong background in data warehousing, modelling, and integration tools (Informatica, Sterling).
- Familiarity with BI tools (IBM Cognos/TM1, Power BI, Tableau).
- Experience designing for cloud platforms, preferably Azure.
What's on offer?  
This contract is available for an initial 6-month term with likely extension on a long term project.   Located in Sydney, this role offers a hybrid working arrangement.
