About the Role
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Solution Architect (Cloud) to lead the creation and delivery of cloud‑based solution architectures across a portfolio of complex initiatives. You will play a key role in driving digital transformation by translating business requirements into fit‑for‑purpose, secure, and scalable technical designs aligned to enterprise architecture standards.
This is a senior architecture role with no direct reports, focused on technical leadership, governance, and stakeholder engagement across project and BAU environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse current and future solution architectures to ensure initiatives meet business and technical requirements.
- Develop solution architectures and technical designs aligned to enterprise architecture frameworks, principles, and governance.
- Ensure cloud solutions align with strategic technology roadmaps and investment priorities.
- Lead and facilitate design workshops, architecture reviews, and stakeholder presentations.
- Work closely with architects, developers, testers, and delivery teams to resolve design and implementation challenges.
- Provide technical leadership across cloud, integration, and hybrid environments.
- Support vendor evaluations, solution options analysis, and technology selection activities.
- Identify, assess, and document architectural risks and mitigation strategies.
- Design secure integration platforms for on‑premise and cloud‑based services.
- Contribute SME input into identity management, authentication, and role‑based access models.
- Maintain high‑quality architecture artefacts and documentation in enterprise tooling environments.
- Balancing evolving business requirements with current and future cloud capabilities.
- Ensuring alignment across multiple architectural domains and delivery teams.
- Managing dependencies and risks across hybrid cloud and on‑premise environments.
- Maintaining quality, consistency, and governance across architecture artefacts.
- Leading effective engagement with vendors, partners, and diverse internal stakeholders.
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience in solution architecture and design, preferably within cloud environments.
- Strong knowledge of TOGAF(certification or equivalent highly desirable).
- Experience across:
- Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
- Digital technology and development
- Service‑Oriented Architecture (SOA)
- Proven experience delivering large‑scale solutions, including projects valued at $10M+.
- Strong integration architecture experience including iPaaS, API gateways, ESB, ETL, and REST‑based technologies.
- Hands‑on experience designing solutions on AWS, Azure, and/or Google Cloud Platform.
- Knowledge of Salesforce and BPM platforms is highly desirable.
- Awareness of emerging technologies, cloud security, and digital industry trends.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Project and Microsoft Office tools.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong communication skills across technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Proven stakeholder management and relationship‑building capability.
- Strong leadership, influence, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to operate effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities.
- Analytical, problem‑solving mindset with sound judgement.
- Resilience and confidence when dealing with complex or high‑risk scenarios.
- Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident, or New Zealand Citizen.
- Baseline Security Clearance required.
- Standard pre‑employment checks apply.
- 40‑hour working week.
