The end client is a Defence organisation supporting a complex, high‑profile air combat capability program. This role contributes to the sustainment and operational effectiveness of a critical air system, working across Defence, industry partners, and international stakeholders in a highly secure environment.
About the Role
An exciting opportunity exists for an Information Systems Analyst to deliver information systems and engineering support within an integrated workforce.
You will support operational and sustainment outcomes by applying established ICT and information systems management practices, contributing to the design, integration, and sustainment of secure ICT infrastructure. The role requires strong stakeholder engagement skills, analytical capability, and the ability to manage schedules, risks, and deliverables in line with Defence governance requirements.
This role is well suited to a systems or ICT professional with experience in Defence or similarly regulated environments who enjoys working in complex, fast‑paced programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver moderately complex information systems and ICT support activities under limited direction.
- Act as a central point of contact for operations and ICT‑related enquiries, building strong working relationships with stakeholders.
- Manage schedules, risks, resources, and deliverables in accordance with organisational and governance frameworks.
- Apply established engineering and information systems practices, supported by clear and accurate documentation.
- Support ICT and minor engineering products aligned to organisational standards and mission system complexity.
- Contribute to the definition, design, integration, and sustainment of ICT infrastructure
supporting:
- Mission planning
- Operational effectiveness
- Secure communications (COMSEC)
- Support planning and integration of current and future capability milestones, including software and system upgrades.
- Coordinate with Defence, industry partners, system integrators, and international stakeholders to resolve technical issues and support sustainment outcomes.
- 3–5 years’ experience(or strong foundational knowledge) in:
- Information systems
- ICT infrastructure
- Engineering support roles
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret performance data and support informed decision‑making.
- Ability to produce high‑quality technical documentation.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Comfortable working in complex, fast‑paced, and highly regulated environments.
- Experience supporting Defence capability programs or similarly regulated environments.
- Exposure to system sustainment, integration, or complex program governance.
- Australian Citizenship required.
- Role is located in Williamtown, NSW
- Mandatory minimum NV1 security clearance.
- NV2 clearance strongly preferred.
- Proactive and detail‑oriented.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills.
- Able to manage competing priorities while maintaining delivery momentum.
- Collaborative team player within integrated, multi‑disciplinary environments.
