About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Systems Engineer – Specialist MBSE Engineer to join a high-performing team based in Canberra. In this role, you will contribute to the development and analysis of complex system-of-systems models, supporting Defence mission engineering activities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Applying MBSE methodologies to support Defence mission engineering processes
- Developing, maintaining and analysing system models using CATIA Magic / Cameo (SoSA) toolsets
- Creating and managing SysML-based modelling artefacts across system-of-systems environments
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure consistency and integrity of engineering models
- Contributing to design decisions through model-based insights and analysis
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
- Proven experience in Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) within Defence or complex engineering environments
- Strong understanding of Defence Mission Engineering processes and their application
- Hands-on expertise using CATIA Magic / Cameo (SoSA) in a collaborative modelling environment
- Solid working knowledge of SysML and its application to system-of-systems modelling
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to work effectively within integrated teams

Location: The role is based in Canberra ACT.
Contract terms: 12 months from commencement date, plus 2x 12 month extensions
Security Requirements: Must be an Australian Citizens with an active NV1 or higher security clearance, but our client has expressed a preference for TSPV cleared candidates.
