About the role
The Systems Gateway Engineer will provide senior technical expertise for the design, implementation and support for secure gateways, firewalls, and network connectivity services across the Departments AWS and hybrid environments to support geospatial services.
Role Responsibilities
- Provide senior technical leadership for gateway, firewall, and network security services across AWS and hybrid environments.
- Design and implement secure AWS network connectivity, including VPC/subnet routing, Transit Gateway patterns, and hybrid connectivity (VPN/Direct Connect as applicable).
- Deploy, configure, and maintain Palo Alto firewall solutions (physical/virtual), including security policies, routing/NAT, high availability, and secure remote access where required.
- Experience and understanding of Geospatial systems and technologies
- Experience working with bespoke data storage solutions and large datasets
- Palo Alto qualifications and certificates
What is on offer
- 12-month contract, with 2 x 12 month extension options.
- Play a key role in maintaining seamless operations and providing timely support to users, ensuring the gateway consistently delivers its intended outcomes .
To be eligible for this role, you must be an Australian Citizen. Due to the work environment, our client has requested that all candidates are required to hold a current NV1 Security Clearance. The successful candidate will need to undergo an additional security assessment before commencing in the role.
