About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Systems Integrator to support the delivery of a significant capability uplift within a secure environment.
Working as part of a multidisciplinary project team, you will be responsible for the build, configuration, integration, testing, and transition of ICT systems into operational use. This is a hands-on technical role suited to someone with a strong infrastructure and systems background who enjoys solving complex challenges and delivering high-quality outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading system build and integration activities across project deliverables.
- Configuring and validating hardware, laptops, and networking equipment.
- Installing, hardening, and configuring operating systems and applications.
- Configuring secure networking infrastructure, including switches, firewalls, and encrypted connectivity solutions.
- Implementing user access controls, permissions, and security configurations.
- Developing and maintaining technical documentation, including build guides and installation procedures.
- Conducting system testing, troubleshooting, and performance validation.
- Implementing backup, recovery, and resilience measures.
- Supporting operational handover activities and stakeholder engagement throughout the project lifecycle.
To be successful in this position, you will bring proven experience in systems integration, infrastructure engineering, or systems administration within complex ICT environments.
You will demonstrate:
- Experience integrating hardware, operating systems, and network infrastructure.
- Strong knowledge of secure ICT environments and system hardening practices.
- Experience with testing, validation, troubleshooting, and performance optimisation.
- The ability to produce clear and accurate technical documentation.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
- The ability to work effectively within collaborative, multidisciplinary teams.
- Defence, intelligence, or government project experience.
- Exposure to secure or air-gapped environments.
- Experience with mesh networking, encryption technologies, or resilient communications solutions.
- Experience working within governed, regulated, or accreditation-driven environments.

Location: The role is based in Canberra ACT.
Contract Term: 5 months from start date
Security Requirements: Candidates must hold an active Negative Vetting 2 (NV2) Clearance. Our client is not looking to upgrade an existing clearance for this position. An OSA(Organisational Suitability Assessment) will be required for this position.
