About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Lead Operations Coordinator to oversee day-to-day operational activities within a critical gateway environment. This position is responsible for ensuring the availability, security, and performance of essential services and infrastructure while acting as a central coordination point for senior leadership and key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate daily operational activities across critical services and components.
  • Monitor service availability and investigate service outages or breaches of availability targets.
  • Initiate and oversee remedial actions to restore services and minimise disruptions.
  • Support and coordinate investigations into service incidents and security breaches.
  • Manage priorities, schedules, and communications for senior leaders and management teams.
  • Ensure managers have access to the information and resources required to support operational outcomes.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and influence outcomes through effective communication.
  • Provide advice and guidance on service availability planning, design, and continuous improvement initiatives.
What You Will Bring
  • Extensive experience preparing executive-level communications, reports, and briefing materials.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills with the ability to influence outcomes.
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities while leading teams toward operational objectives.
  • Well-developed investigative and analytical skills, including assessing service impacts and recommending remedial actions.
  • Excellent organisational, coordination, and communication abilities.
  • Experience operating within complex, high-pressure environments where service continuity and security are critical.
What's on Offer
  • Initial 12-month contract with extension options available.
  • Work locations available in Canberra or Adelaide.

Security Requirements
  • Australian Citizenship is required.
  • Candidates must hold a current Top Secret Positive Vetting (TSPV) security clearance.
  • The successful candidate must be able to meet all organisational suitability requirements prior to commencement.
