About the End Client

Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Technical Architect to lead the design and delivery of enterprise-grade solutions across modern microservices and cloud platforms. This role blends hands-on architecture, technical leadership, and stakeholder engagement to drive scalable, secure, and high-performing systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver end-to-end enterprise application architectures
- Lead development across the full SDLC using Java and Spring Boot microservices
- Architect integration solutions using Kafka, IBM MQ, AMQ, and REST APIs
- Drive cloud-native deployments leveraging Azure, Docker, and Kubernetes
- Define and implement IAM and security frameworks (ForgeRock, LDAP, Active Directory)
- Produce architecture documentation, standards, and technical roadmaps
- Collaborate with business, product, and engineering teams
- Identify and mitigate technical risks while ensuring governance
- Mentor development teams and promote engineering best practices
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong experience with Java/J2EE and Spring Boot Microservices
- Experience with Kafka, IBM MQ, and messaging platforms
- Knowledge of Oracle PL/SQL, MongoDB, Elasticsearch
- Hands-on experience with Azure, Azure DevOps, Kubernetes
- Expertise in IAM technologies (ForgeRock, LDAP, Active Directory)
- Strong understanding of REST APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures
- Experience working in Agile, DevOps, CI/CD environments
- Proven background in architecture, solution design, and technical leadership
Qualifications
- 12+ years of software development experience
- 5+ years in an Architect or senior technical leadership role
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Additional Requirements
- Location: Sydney (Hybrid)
- Security Clearance: Baseline clearance and Australian Citizenship required
