About the Role
An exciting opportunity exists for a Technical Lead to drive the design, delivery, and optimisation of SAP NextGen solutions within a complex enterprise environment. This is a long-term, multi-year contract offering exposure to cutting-edge technology and the chance to work with multidisciplinary teams on internationally significant projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, architecture, and implementation of SAP NextGen applications and associated integrations.
- Oversee functional and technical consulting activities, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture principles and programme objectives.
- Provide thought leadership on SAP roadmap development, technical innovation, platform optimisation, and adoption of emerging technologies.
- Translate complex business requirements into scalable, secure, and high-quality SAP solutions.
- Act as a senior escalation point for solution design issues, technical risks, and architectural decisions.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, technical teams, and external partners to deliver cohesive solution outcomes.
- Govern solution quality through design reviews, standards enforcement, and technical leadership across delivery teams.
- Support planning, estimation, resource coordination, and delivery oversight for large enterprise programmes.
- Provide coaching and guidance to functional consultants, technical teams, and solution specialists.
- Ensure solutions comply with security, privacy, data governance, integration, and compliance standards.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, innovation frameworks, and optimisation of SAP application landscapes.
- Extensive experience as a senior SAP Functional Consultant, Solution Architect, or Technical Lead within large, complex enterprise environments.
- Strong capability in SAP NextGen modules and technologies, including integration with cloud, platform, and digital services.
- Demonstrated experience designing and architecting end-to-end SAP solutions aligned to enterprise architecture standards.
- Proven expertise leading multidisciplinary delivery teams and governing solution design activities.
- Ability to translate business requirements into functional and technical designs.
- Experience with SAP innovation technologies and methods, including automation, cloud platforms, analytics, extensibility frameworks, and integration technologies.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence executive and technical audiences.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Australian Citizenship and AGSVA Baseline Security Clearance required; NV1 Clearance preferred.
- Experience in Australian Government or similarly regulated environments is highly desirable.
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA transformation programmes.
- Knowledge of contemporary architecture practices, including API-led integration, event-driven architecture, and cloud services.
- Familiarity with agile delivery methodologies and modern DevOps practices.
- Long-term, multi-year contract with extension potential.
- Work on internationally significant SAP transformation projects.
- Hybrid working arrangements across Sydney, Melbourne, and Canberra.
