Our client is a highly regarded Federal Government intelligence and cyber security organisation responsible for protecting Australia's national interests through the delivery of critical cyber security, intelligence and information services.

About the Role
We are seeking experienced Technical Writer / Content Designers to support the development and delivery of high-quality technical publications and digital content.
Working closely with subject matter experts and stakeholders, you will be responsible for researching, creating, reviewing and publishing content that translates complex technical information into clear, accessible and user-focused material. Content may include technical publications, web content, educational resources, awareness materials and other digital communications.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Supporting content development through research, scoping, consultation, review and publication activities.
  • Producing technically accurate and audience-appropriate content and guidance.
  • Creating and publishing content across a variety of channels and platforms.
  • Working with stakeholders to gather requirements, validate technical information and promote content initiatives.
  • Ensuring content aligns with organisational objectives, accessibility requirements and user needs.
  • Contributing to content governance, quality assurance and continuous improvement activities.
The Successful Candidate
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
  • Demonstrated experience in technical writing, content design, content editing and publishing.
  • Exceptional written communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical information for diverse audiences.
  • Strong research and analytical capabilities.
  • Experience working with content management systems, publishing tools and digital content channels.
  • An understanding of user-centred design principles and user experience best practices.
  • The ability to build strong stakeholder relationships and work effectively with technical subject matter experts.
  • Experience measuring content performance and using insights to improve content outcomes.
  • A proactive, collaborative approach and exceptional attention to detail.
 
Candidates must also be willing to undergo an Organisational Suitability Assessment (OSA) prior to engagement.

Location: The role is based in Canberra ACT.
Contract terms: 12 months from commencement date, plus 2x 12 month extensions
Experience Level: APS6 Equivalent
Security Requirements: Candidates must hold an active Negative Vetting 2 (NV2) OR Top Secret Positive Vetting (TSPV) Security Clearance on submission. Our client is not looking to upgrade an existing clearance for this position. An OSA(Organisational Suitability Assessment) will be required for this position.
