About the Role
In the role of Test Analyst, you will contribute to the planning, execution, and delivery of high-quality testing and quality assurance (QA) activities for ICT solutions, using risk-based and requirements-driven testing principles. The Test Analyst will support all aspects of the software testing lifecycle by executing test plans, reporting results, and ensuring alignment with business and technical requirements. You will work under the leadership of the Senior Test Analyst and collaborate with delivery teams on test execution, defect management, and continuous improvement, while providing hands-on testing expertise and reporting on quality outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform software testing activities for Information & Communication Telecommunications (ICT) solutions, ensuring outcomes meet business goals and technical requirements.
- Apply risk-based and requirements-driven testing practices to ensure comprehensive coverage and effective test execution.
- Develop a strong business and technical understanding of the ICT solution, requirements, ensuring testing activities align with customer requirements and quality objectives.
- Use the ITB Test Policy, Strategy, and Framework to define and execute testing activities, including test plans, test cases, scripts, data, and documentation reviews.
- The Test Analyst will use capabilities and experience to create, plan, execute and maintain:
- Functional testing using ISTQB test techniques.
- Non-functional testing using ISTQB test techniques against ICT solution quality characteristics.
- Test automation to perform basic execution and analyse results, report issues, and demonstrate basic knowledge of practices and tools.
- Regression and End to End (E2E) testing that to validate, and quality assure full business scenarios, business requirements, and system integration.
- API and microservices testing, including REST, SOAP, and JSON/XML-based services.
- Support defect lifecycle processes, including reporting, triage, root cause analysis, retesting, and test metrics tracking.
- Work closely with delivery teams and Test Lead(s) to ensure effective test execution, monitor each phase of the SDLC, and communicate testing results and benefits to stakeholders.
- Assist with improving testing processes and methodologies, and promote testing best practices, and contribute to ongoing process improvements.
- Build and maintain knowledge and expertise in testing and ICT solutions, proactively stay current with emerging trends in software testing, and build the skills of others through knowledge transfer.
- Additional ISTQB® certifications are highly desirable, including:
- Technical Test Analyst (CTAL-TTA)
- Test Automation Engineer (CTAL-TAE)
- AI Testing (CT-AI)
- Demonstrated recent functional testing experience.
- Basic SQL writing and execution skills.
- Knowledge or experience with JIRA, Confluence, and other test management tools.
12-Month initial contract role with a May 2026 starts available with likely extensions.
