Key Responsibilities:
Test Strategy & Planning
- Define the overall test strategy aligned with banking regulations and compliance requirements.
- Develop test plans, ensuring coverage for functional, non-functional, security, and compliance testing.
- Identify key test metrics and KPIs for monitoring test effectiveness.
- Lead and manage testing teams across multiple projects, ensuring resource allocation and workload balancing.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement in testing processes and methodologies.
- Ensure collaboration between development, operations, and business teams.
- Oversee end-to-end testing, including functional testing, regression testing, integration testing, UAT (User Acceptance Testing), and performance testing.
- Manage defect triage, root cause analysis, and resolution coordination with development teams.
- Drive the adoption of test automation frameworks for faster and more reliable testing.
- Implement CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment) pipelines to streamline testing and deployment.
- Explore AI/ML-based testing solutions to enhance efficiency.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks related to software defects, performance issues, and compliance failures.
- Develop contingency plans for major incidents a􀆯ecting banking systems7. Test Environment & Data Management
- Oversee the setup and maintenance of test environments replicating production conditions.
- Ensure proper test data management, including anonymization of sensitive customer data

- Analyse test results, identify areas for improvement, and drive best practices in testing.
- Provide regular reporting on test metrics, defect trends, and overall system quality.
The successful candidate:
Candidates should be able to demonstrate the following skills:
- Experience with Oracle General Ledger product is highly desired
- Knowledge of data governance and regulatory compliance in banking.
- Leadership in managing large-scale testing teams and projects.

This contract is available for an initial 6-month term with likely extension on a long-term project.
Located in Sydney, this role offers a hybrid working arrangement.
