About the Role
We are seeking experienced Test Managers to lead and oversee end‑to‑end testing practices across large, complex ICT initiatives. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating testing activities, managing testing resources, and ensuring the integrity, quality and transparency of test outcomes.
You will provide expert advice on testing methodologies, tools and standards, contribute to continuous improvement of testing practices, and work closely with technical teams and stakeholders to ensure systems and services meet functional and non‑functional requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Leading and coordinating testing activities across all phases of delivery
  • Providing clear, accurate reporting on test progress, outcomes, risks and issues
  • Designing and managing test cases, scripts and execution plans aligned to acceptance criteria
  • Applying and optimising testing tools, techniques and methodologies
  • Identifying risks, resolving testing issues and driving process improvements
  • Supporting change control and change management processes
  • Collaborating with project teams and stakeholders to ensure comprehensive test coverage
The Successful Candidate
To be successful, you will be a proven Test Manager with strong experience working in complex environments and the ability to provide authoritative guidance on testing strategy and execution.
You will demonstrate:
  • Extensive experience planning and driving testing activities across iterative delivery lifecycles
  • Strong knowledge of testing standards, methodologies, tools and automation
  • The ability to analyse complex issues, assess risk and recommend effective solutions
  • Experience designing acceptance criteria, test cases and scenarios for functional and non‑functional requirements
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • A continuous improvement mindset with the ability to uplift testing practices and standards
 
Candidates must also be willing to undergo an Organisational Suitability Assessment (OSA) prior to engagement.

Location: The role is based in Canberra ACT.
Contract terms: 12 months from commencement date, plus 2x 12 month extensions
Experience Level: Senior – EL1 Equivalent
Security Requirements: TSPV Security Clearance is required. An OSA(Organisational Suitability Assessment) will be required for this position.
