About the Role
Our client is seeking a suitably qualified WHS specialist to provide operational WHS support across Commonwealth territories, including the implementation of updated WHS procedures and a range of day‑to‑day functions.
This is a hands‑on, delivery‑focused role that includes coordination, stakeholder engagement, reporting, and progressing WHS actions.
Key Responsibilities
- Finalise and implement updated WHS procedures
- Coordinate WHS‑related stakeholder engagement and communications
- Support WHS reporting and governance requirements
- Progress existing and outstanding WHS actions
- Provide operational support for WHS matters related to Norfolk Island
- Attend governance meetings as required
- No regular travel is anticipated.
- Demonstrated experience in Work Health & Safety, preferably within Government or highly regulated environments
- Strong understanding of operational WHS requirements and implementation
- Ability to coordinate stakeholders and communicate effectively
- Experience developing or updating WHS procedures
- Ability to manage WHS reporting, governance and documentation requirements
- Ability to work flexibly and operate autonomously
Work Arrangements
- Flexible work may be approved depending on operational requirements
- No overtime is permitted
- Timesheets and invoicing must align with Federal Government procurement requirements
