Director, Content
Our state government client is seeking a talented and driven Director, Content, to join in providing developer services for both project initiatives and Business as Usual (BAU) support role. This position supports the delivery of content for various communication channels including websites, e-newsletters and print publication, as well as state Government social media channels.
About the role:
• Bringing an audience-first lens to the work, informed by research, insights and evaluation
• Collaborating with stakeholders in partnership with a strong client service ethic
• Working in a fast-paced environment, while being flexible and open to change
• Being supported by whole of government guidelines, policies and procedures, and be guided by an annual whole of government communications and engagement plan.
• Develop and execute the Government WHOG content strategy in collaboration with senior executives, Ministers’ Offices and directorates across government
• Work closely with stakeholders, subject matter experts and multidisciplinary teams within other directorates and Ministerial offices to source, design and curate content designed around user needs
• Work collaboratively across government to encourage the ongoing development of contemporary digital practice
• Undertake regular performance reporting and analysis to inform audience growth and engagement as well as to demonstrate impact and return-on-investment spend
About you:
• Extensive experience in audience and insights driven communications and content strategy, development and implementation.
• Strong experience in sourcing, developing and editing engaging content for multiple platforms including print, online and social media, particularly in a complex and high paced environment with multiple stakeholders.
• Leadership expertise to deliver agreed business outcomes, while setting direction and providing guidance for team members.
• Adaptability to changing circumstances and successfully managing multiple priorities and demands, in a dynamic, complex and diverse environment.
Location and Contract Term
This role is being offered to those in Canberra, ACT. Initial contract for 12 weeks and high chance to be extended.
Security Requirements
Our Government Client require applicants have a full working right. Candidates will need to be willing to undergo pre-employment screening checks which may include, ID and work rights, security clearance verification and any other client requested checks.
