The Department is seeking to engage an APS 6 to fill a Program Officer based in either Canberra or Brisbane.
Security Clearance: Baseline security clearance
Contract Length: ASAP till 31st December 2024, possible 1 x 6-month extension
We are looking for a candidate that can:
• Assist with the management of relationships between Department representatives and external stakeholders, and liaise with stakeholders in a timely and professional manner.
• Prepare briefs, senate estimates, minister briefings, questions on notice and freedom of information requests.
• Request, coordinate and consolidate input from across government to develop advice for Senior Executives and the Minister.
• Manage procurement and contract management, monthly reporting and accruals, forecasting, movement of funds and provide input into the Commonwealth budget process.
• Contribute to the planning and implementation of wider agency policies and objectives.
